Dr. Darling sees patients in Midtown, Oakview, Lakeside, Bellevue and Norfolk locations.

Melissa Diamantis Darling, M.D., was born and raised in Omaha. Although she’s the newest member of the Midwest Dermatology team, Dr. Darling came into medicine at an early age, thanks to having a father who has practiced cardiology in Omaha for the last several decades.

Dr. Darling is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of The American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD). She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston/MD Anderson Cancer Center and went on to complete her dermatology residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock. In recognition of her achievement, she was named Chief Resident during the final year of her residency. Post residency, Dr. Darling participated as a Fellow in Dermatopathology at the University of Virginia. Working alongside two recognized experts in the field, Dr. Darling credits this subspecialty training for honing her diagnostic skills and ability to diagnose skin cancers, tumors, rashes and other skin conditions.

Dr. Darling is married and she and her husband are parents to four children. Interestingly, her sister is also a dermatologist who practices on the East Coast. It is unforeseen if they will ever practice in the same city, but they do enjoy attending meetings together!

Dr. Darling is currently welcoming new patients to her new Midwest Dermatology practice offices in Omaha at the Midtown, Lakeside and Oakview locations and in Bellevue.

“Dr. Darling and her assistants were very caring and helped ease my anxiety.”

“Dr. Darling is the best!”

Remembering Dr. Bert Frichot, III

We are sad to share that Dr. Bert (Chuck) Frichot III, who cared for countless Midwest Dermatology patients over his 26-year career, recently passed way. He is survived by his wife Joy, two children, and nine grandchildren.

Beloved by patients and colleagues, Dr. Frichot was a founding physician for our practice. His medically sound approach to dermatology, genuine nature and unmistakable laugh earned him the respect of everyone with whom he came into contact. For years, he served as our primary physician in the Midwest Dermatology clinics in Bellevue and Nebraska City, helping to ensure that patients in Southeast Nebraska had access to the care they needed. Patients of our Norfolk office frequently share fond memories of the personal connections he forged with his patients.

Dr. Frichot joined Midwest Dermatology after graduating from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completing a dermatology residency at the University of Minnesota. He became board certified in dermatology and was also a Fellow in the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (FASDS).

Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our dear friend and we share our deepest condolences with the family.
