What Is Treatment Like?

Ellacor is performed in the office using topical numbing followed by local anesthesia to keep you comfortable during treatment.

Once the area is numb, the Ellacor device is moved systematically across the treatment area, creating and removing microscopic cores of skin. Because surrounding areas of skin remain intact, healing can begin quickly without stitches or bandages.

Depending on your skin and the results you hope to achieve, more than one treatment may be recommended.

What Is Recovery Like?

Expect your skin to look and feel like it has been treated. Redness, swelling and tenderness are normal during the early healing period.

In Ellacor’s pivotal clinical trial, 70% of patients reported feeling comfortable going out in public or returning to work by three days after treatment. Your skin will continue healing beyond that point, and you will receive specific aftercare instructions from our team.

Until the skin has healed, you’ll need to temporarily avoid makeup and certain skin care products, shaving or waxing, strenuous exercise, excessive heat and activities that could irritate or injure the treated area.

When Will I See Results?

Ellacor isn’t an instant transformation. Improvement develops as the skin heals and continues to change over the weeks and months following treatment.

Clinical studies have shown improvement in moderate to severe wrinkles, and some patients may benefit from a series of treatments to reach their desired result.
