Midwest Dermatology physicians  see eligible patients using Patient App through our EMR system. This telemedicine platform allows the use of video technology to provide virtual patient care in a HIPAA compliant manner. PATIENTS SEEN VIA TELEHEALTH MUST BE ESTABLISHED PATIENTS WITH MIDWEST DERMATOLOGY AND RESIDENTS OF THE STATE OF NEBRASKA AND MUST BE PRESENT IN THE STATE AT THE TIME OF THE VISIT.

Chances are you are already familiar with telehealth, and the latest technology for video face to face conferencing.  If not, don’t worry – it’s easy!  We will schedule you for a specific time and it will be a lot like visiting us in the office.  Here are the simple instructions for booking and getting started on your telehealth visit:

Call (402) 933-0800 and request a telehealth appointment time.

Download the Patient APP on the device you prefer to use for your appointment. It is easily accessed from phones and iPads or tablets. You can also download and use Patient APP from your laptop or PC, but you must have a camera and video/audio capabilities.

• Midwest Dermatology will text you information on how to download the app.
• At the time of your appointment, you will receive a text message when the provider is ready for you to join.
• Just click on that link, enter your last name and date of birth and your telehealth visit will begin.
•  A nurse will greet you online briefly and then your physician will join the appointment. We will be in our clinic seeing patients, so it is possible that there will be a wait time before your provider is able to greet you.
• Make sure you that you are in a well-lit location. This will ensure that the provider will be able to see your skin condition clearly and see the scope and the size of the issue.
