Ashley D. Dewey, DNP, FNP-C, is a certified family nurse practitioner at Midwest Dermatology, providing comprehensive dermatologic care to patients in our Norfolk office. With a strong clinical background and a patient-first mindset, Ashley combines technical skill with genuine compassion—helping patients feel confident in their skin through both medical and cosmetic care.

Ashley earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Wayne State College. Her experience spans hospital and clinic settings, including emergency care, labor and delivery, and dermatology. Before joining Midwest Dermatology as a provider, Ashley previously worked at our Norfolk clinic as a nurse.

Her interest in dermatology began with a personal connection—supporting her grandmother through skin cancer treatment and managing her own skin conditions as a teen. Those early experiences shaped her understanding of how deeply skin health affects confidence, self-image, and overall well-being.

Ashley’s clinical interests include skin cancer screenings, acne management, and cosmetic dermatology. She is currently pursuing her Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP) credential to further expand her expertise.

She is licensed in Nebraska and board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB). Patients appreciate her thoughtful, thorough approach and her ability to explain care plans in a way that makes sense and feels personal.

Outside the clinic, Ashley lives on a family farm—remodeled from her grandparents’ home—with her husband, four children, and their very large, very lovable lab/golden retriever mix, Hank. She spends weekends boating on the Missouri River, running, and soaking up the outdoors (with SPF, always).
