As we age, our skin gradually loses hyaluronic acid and facial volume. What Can Filler Do?

Filler can be used to address a variety of age-related changes and cosmetic concerns, including:

• Volume loss in the cheeks
• Smile lines and folds around the mouth

• Loss of lip volume or definition
• Other areas of facial volume loss

The goal isn’t simply to fill a wrinkle. Your provider will look at your face as a whole and consider where restoring volume may create the most natural and balanced result.

What Makes RHA Different?

Your face is constantly moving. You smile, laugh, talk and make expressions throughout the day, so filler needs to look natural when your face moves too.

The RHA Collection is made with hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the skin that helps provide hydration and volume. RHA fillers are formulated to adapt to facial movement while adding support and replacing volume where it has been lost.

The collection includes several formulations with different characteristics, allowing your provider to select the product best suited to the area being treated and the result you hope to achieve.

What Is Filler Treatment Like?

Your appointment begins with a conversation about what you’re noticing and what you would like to change. Your provider will evaluate your facial anatomy and recommend where filler may help and, just as importantly, where it may not be needed.

Filler is injected in carefully selected areas using a fine needle or cannula. Treatment time varies depending on the areas being addressed and the amount of filler used.

You may experience temporary swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising after treatment. Because swelling and bruising can be more noticeable in some people than others, it’s a good idea to allow some time between your appointment and an important event.

How Long Does Filler Last?

Results can be seen immediately, although swelling may temporarily affect your appearance during the first few days.

How long filler lasts depends on the RHA product used, the area treated and the individual patient. Some RHA fillers may provide results lasting up to 15 months.
