Collin R. Parker, MD

Collin R. Parker is a dual board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon who sees patients at Midwest Dermatology’s Dodge Street, Lakeside, Oakview, and Norfolk locations.

Dr. Parker is board certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. His practice includes general dermatology, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, and cosmetic dermatology, allowing him to care for patients across a wide range of needs with a medically grounded approach.

Dr. Parker earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences and completed his dermatology residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He then completed an intensive Mohs Fellowship through the American College of Mohs Surgery, a highly selective program focused on complex skin cancer cases and advanced reconstructive techniques. This additional training allows Dr. Parker to manage challenging tumors and repairs with precision, efficiency, and careful attention to both medical outcomes and appearance.

At Midwest Dermatology, Dr. Parker also serves as the lead physician for GentleCure, an image-guided superficial radiation therapy option for certain non-melanoma skin cancers. In this role, he helps evaluate patient candidacy and oversee treatment planning, offering an effective non-surgical option for select patients when appropriate.

In the clinic, Dr. Parker is known for his thoughtful, patient-centered style. He takes time to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly, helping patients understand not only what is recommended, but why. His approach emphasizes doing what is medically appropriate and evidence-based, with a strong focus on long-term results and patient trust.

Dr. Parker treats children and adults for a wide range of dermatologic concerns and also provides aesthetic dermatology services, including advanced laser treatments and facial rejuvenation procedures. Whether addressing skin cancer, a medical condition, or cosmetic goals, his care is guided by sound clinical judgment and individualized planning.

Dr. Parker places a strong emphasis on building relationships with his patients — a value that extends beyond the clinic. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, biking local trails, coaching youth soccer, and mentoring at-risk children in the community.

Dr. Parker’s approach to care:

“Medically sound dermatology means knowing what you’re looking at, why it occurs, and how to treat it. It means doing what needs to be done — not what bills the most — educating patients, and treating everyone like I would my own family.”

Patient feedback:

“Dr. Parker takes pride in building relationships with his patients.”
