How Laser Hair Removal Works
The GentleMax Pro® laser works by targeting the pigment within the hair follicle beneath the surface of the skin. The light energy is absorbed by the follicle and converted to heat, helping disable future hair growth while leaving the surrounding skin largely unaffected.
Because hair grows in different stages, not every hair can be treated during the same appointment. A series of treatments is needed to target hairs during their active growth phase, which is why laser hair removal works gradually over time.
