New Provider Alexa Paley PA-C Brings Experience and Compassion to Dermatology
Say hello to Alexa Paley, Midwest Dermatology’s newest PA! Or maybe you already have—if you’ve seen Dr. Darling lately. Alexa is the newest addition to Dr. Darling’s team, shadowing her in Omaha and soaking up everything from skin checks to skin care. She’s getting ready to see patients soon, bringing the same expert care you trust, with her own friendly flair.
A Strong Medical Foundation
Alexa brings with her six years of experience as a physician assistant in vascular surgery at Nebraska Methodist Hospital. There, she provided care across all settings—assisting in the operating room, managing complex inpatients, and guiding patients through treatment plans in the clinic.
She earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2018 and has built her career on both technical skill and personalized patient care. Her experience in surgery gives her an exceptional foundation for the procedural and hands-on side of dermatology, while her clinical background reflects her commitment to communication, education, and long-term patient relationships.

Dermatology offered the perfect intersection of what Alexa does best—practicing precise, procedural medicine while helping patients see real, visible results. She was drawn to the specialty for its variety, its challenges, and its opportunity to improve patients’ health and confidence every day.
Patients can expect a visit with Alexa to be collaborative and thorough. She prioritizes listening and wants her patients to walk away feeling heard, supported, and empowered.
And a Little Personal Style
Before entering medicine, Alexa earned her undergraduate degree in Apparel Merchandising, Design, and Production from Iowa State University. While it may seem like a surprising shift, Alexa finds that her attention to detail, creativity, and eye for aesthetics have served her well in medicine—especially in dermatology, where the art and science of skin care go hand-in-hand.
Life Outside the Clinic
When she’s not at work, Alexa enjoys spending time with her husband, their two young children, and their two beloved (and slightly mischievous) pugs. She loves exploring Omaha, traveling with her family, and starts her day with a coffee in hand—preferably an oat milk latte.
Her go-to skincare essential? SPF—every day, all day. It’s her must-have for preventing skin cancer and keeping skin looking its best long term.
