MoleWatch: A Free Skin Cancer Screening for New Patients

At Midwest Dermatology, early detection of skin cancer is one of the most important things we do. That’s why we offer MoleWatch — a free total body skin exam designed to identify suspicious moles and skin changes early, when treatment is most effective.

MoleWatch removes common barriers to care and gives patients a simple way to establish — or re-establish — care with a trusted dermatology provider.

Who Is Eligible?

MoleWatch is available to new patients and patients who have not been seen at Midwest Dermatology in three years or more. If it’s been a while since your last visit, you do qualify for this screening as a way to re-establish care with our practice.

MoleWatch exams are performed by our dermatology providers, including Ashley Dewey, NP, Alexa Paley, PA-C, and Jessica Reynen, PA-C — experienced clinicians trained to recognize concerning skin changes and guide patients through next steps with clarity and care.

For some patients, a MoleWatch exam provides reassurance. For others, it leads to early diagnosis of skin cancer, including melanoma. When skin cancer is caught early, outcomes are significantly improved — which is why professional screening matters.

Why MoleWatch Matters

Skin cancer is common, and many serious diagnoses begin with subtle changes that are easy to miss. A professional skin exam allows our providers to evaluate moles and lesions using medical expertise and, when needed, recommend further testing or treatment.

Midwest Dermatology has decades of experience diagnosing and treating skin cancer, supported by board-certified dermatologists, dermatopathology expertise, and access to advanced treatment options. MoleWatch is an entry point into that level of care.

• Available to new patients and patients not seen in three or more years

• Not intended to replace routine dermatology visits

If a provider recommends further testing or removal of a lesion, those services are not included in the MoleWatch exam and are billed separately. In many cases, these costs are covered by health insurance. If additional time is needed, a follow-up visit may be scheduled.
