CAMPUS SCREENING REQUIREMENTS AT MIDWEST DERMATOLOGY LOCATIONS

With growing concern regarding the spread of COVID-19, several of our locations are undergoing screening processes at check points before you can enter the building. These efforts are being made for the safety and protection of patients and health care providers. While it may be an inconvenience, we hope you will understand the overabundance of caution.
OAKVIEW MEDICAL CENTER
Effective Monday, March 16, wellness screening check-points will be set up at each entrance to the Oakview campus. At the checkpoint, all patients and guests will be asked the following four questions while in your vehicle:
- What is your reason for entering the building?
- Have you traveled outside of the United States in the last fourteen (14) days?
- Have you had close contact with a person under investigation for COVID-19 within 14 days of getting sick?
- Do you have a fever, cough and/or shortness of breath?
Please note: Midwest Dermatology patients are limited to only one guest
If all individuals in your vehicle answer “no”, you will be free to proceed. If anyone answers “yes” to any of these questions, screeners will require you to wear a mask into the building.
IMPORTANT! IF YOU ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK BY THESE SCREENERS, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN OUR OFFICE AND WILL HAVE TO RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT.
MIDTOWN (DRS. BUILDING) OFFICE
As a building on the campus of The University of Nebraska Medical Center, our building screening policies are updating by the minute. While the medical center has not placed official screening stations at the entrance of our building, we are hearing that screening is ongoing at other campus entrances. Please expect that a procedure similar to the one outlined above may be put into place and be prepared to be stopped either in your vehicle or as you enter the building.
IN OFFICES WHERE WE HAVE IDENTIFIED HIGH RISK INDIVIDUALS IN OUR STAFF OR OFFICE GUESTS, YOU MAY BE ASKED TO HAVE YOUR TEMPERATURE TAKEN UPON ARRIVAL. THIS IS AN ONGOING SITUATION AND WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT ALL EXTRA EFFORTS ARE BEING MADE FOR THE SAFETY OF THE HEALTH CARE WORKERS AND STAFF AS WELL AS PATIENTS AND GUESTS OF MIDWEST DERMATOLOGY.
