John R. Luckasen, M.D.
Board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of
Dermatopathology, John R. Luckasen, M.D., has been in practice since 1976. His undergraduate
degree was received from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He earned his medical degree
from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He then performed an internship at the
University of California, before completing his formal medical education with a residency in
dermatology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Luckasen performed his military service in
Japan, where he was Chief of Dermatology at the U.S. Army Hospital.

Bert C. Frichot III, M.D.
Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Bert C. Frichot III, M.D., joined Midwest
Dermatology Clinic in 1986. His medical education began at the University of Oklahoma School
of Medicine, where he received his medical degree. His specialty training in dermatology was
completed at the University of Minnesota. He also earned a Master's Degree in dermatology.
From 1973 to 1978, Dr. Frichot was an assistant professor of dermatology at the University
of Nebraska Medical Center. He then had a private practice in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Jason S. Papenfuss, M.D.
Jason S. Papenfuss, M.D. joined the practice in the summer of 2007 and is board certified by the
American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Papenfuss is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College
of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine internship and Clinical Research Fellowship at the
University of Utah Health and Science Center's Department of Dermatology. Dr. Papenfuss performed
his dermatology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he served as Chief
Resident in 2006 /07.

Jason Papenfuss is the son of Midwest Dermatology Clinic co-founder Stephen C. Papenfuss, M.D.
Justin G. Madson, M.D., Ph. D.
Justin G. Madson, M.D., Ph.D. joins the practice starting in July 2012. Dr. Madson graduated as a M.D./Ph.D.
at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He earned his doctorate in molecular studies of skin cancer in 2006,
with his M.D. awarded in 2008. Dr. Madson completed the dermatology residency program at the Oklahoma Health
Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. He served as Chief Resident during his final year of residency. In addition,
Dr. Madson has a master’s degree in biology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a bachelor’s degree
from Cornell University in New York.
Dr. Madson served as a medical volunteer at Camp Discovery, a camp for children with severe dermatologic disease. His professional memberships include:
